Welcome to the Broughton Volunteer Fire Department (Allegheny County Station 270) website. We are a 100% volunteer and self-supporting. We proudly share fire protection responsibilities in South Park Township with our sister company Library VFC (Station 2-7-1).

We are Located in South Park Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, a mostly residential community, we are approximately 11 miles south of the City of Pittsburgh, PA.

Stations 104,107,270, and R.I.T. 116 was dispatched to a reported house fire on Curry Hollow Rd. and Brownsville Rd. in Baldwin Boro. PD arrived on scene finding it to be a inside wood burner with the fire out. All units were placed back in service after the house was ventilated....

Stations 270, 271, and 110 were dispatched for an automatic fire alarm at the South Park High School. Alarm company called back reporting it was a false, 270 command arrived on scene confirming and put all units back in service....

Station 270 was alerted to an MVA in front of the Double Eagle on Curry Hollow Rd. in South Park twp. 270 Command arrived on scene finding a non-reportable crash with no hazards, so fire was not needed. All 270 units were placed back in service....

Station 270 was dispatched for a reported CO alarm going off in a residence on Royal Park Blvd. in South Park Twp. First arriving units metered the house finding no levels of CO and pointed it down to being an old faulty detector. All units were then placed back in service....
